I didn’t give up, I made a choice.

왜? 감동했어?
Why? Are you impressed?

감동했어? (Are you impressed? / Are you touched?)

감동하다 – to be impressed/moved/touched
~했어? – casual past tense question

Casual – 감동했어?
Polite – 감동했어요?

>> Change the intonation to say [감동했어./감동했어요.], or “I’m impressed./I’m touched.”

>> The verb [받다] could also be used instead of [하다].
ex. 감동받았어요? (Are you impressed?)
ex2. 감동받았어. (I’m impressed.)

>> Add the word [적] to the root to form an adjective.
ex. 감동적이야. (It’s impressive./It’s touching.)
ex2. 감동적인 영화 (A touching movie)
ex3. 이 소설은 정말 감동적이야. (This novel is very moving.)
