After quite a successful year in music, Chan-hyuk of Akdong Musician (aka AKMU) received the 2014 Korea Outstanding Individual Award.

Award officials noted Chan-hyuk's music composition skills, especially in that of bringing more variety into the k-pop idol music scene.

Chan-hyuk composed and penned the lyrics for all the songs on AKMU's debut album "Play", released earlier this year.
