Today I’m going to introduce tips on how to wear florals for Fall 2016.

Temperatures are falling, but that doesn’t mean we should pack the florals away, as blooms—both dainty and oversized—continue to flourish for fall. One thing to note about this season’s florals is that designers are gravitating towards darker, richer hues as opposed to the light and somewhat washed out colors which were prevalent in the previous season. To wear the trend, leave the bright blooms behind and start incorporating the dark floral prints to your fall wardrobe.

* For the office
For the office, play with a variety of floral-inspired staples such as blazers, trousers, and blouses. To update an otherwise plain outfit, swap your everyday black blazer for a patterned blazer featuring dark floral prints and instantly punch up your look. Team up the blazer with something as simple as a white buttondown and simple black slacks combo and a pair of nude pumps. For a casual Friday, switch out your everyday neutral colored pants for a pair of floral printed slacks and wear them with a simple top such as a loose-fitting beige knit sweater.

* For casual outings and evening functions
Remember, florals this season are taking on a rather moody and exotic feel. For casual functions, mix and match floral patterned fall staples including everything from trousers, blazers, maxi dresses to shoes, bags, and even sunglasses. Among other “it” items of the season, feminine dresses featuring dark floral prints were seen all over the runways for Fall/Winter 2016. Keep up with the 70’s trends this fall with a bold floral printed dress featuring long sleeves and a round neckline—which provide the perfect canvas for a deep red lip, a super hot makeup look of the season. Complete the look with a pair of heels and a tote, and you have a lovely fall outfit.

* Floral-inspired accessories
One other way to rock the trend is to play with floral-inspired accessories. Punchy floral print fall bags and shoes are a must-have this season. For an evening out with friends, opt for a pair of bold dark floral printed heels and instantly transform your go-to LBD (little black dress). In addition, play with a variety of other floral-inspired fall accessories such as mini clutch bags, bangles, and earrings and take your look from standard to standout!
