Today I’m going to introduce the top four winter coats that every woman should own.

*Simple black
A simple black coat never goes out of style. Timeless and forever stylish, what’s valid for the “little black dress” also goes for the black coat, making it a must-have in
anybody’s wardrobe. Black coats this season come in a wide variety of styles and
textures—everything from short pea coats to midi and maxi length styles. For a
polished look, opt for the classic tailored black coat featuring little or no detailing. For a bit more feminine take on the look, accentuate the waistline with a leather belt and for an elegant and luxurious touch, opt for those decorated with faux fur accents. For an evening out, throw on a maxi black coat over a leopard print dress worn with opaque black tights. Top off the look with a metallic clutch bag and a pair of killer heels and you’ll be sure to turn heads.

*Camel
In addition to the black coat, camel coats are a timeless wardrobe essential and one of the most classic winter outerwear options. Extremely elegant and classy, camel coats can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. For a laid back, casual look, opt for the ever-so-stylish denim-on-denim ensemble—a button-down denim shirt paired with your favorite boyfriend jeans—and top it off with a camel coat. You can’t go wrong with denim and camel—because they instantly make a great contrast and will make your denim-on-denim ensemble more polished and put together.

*White
There is no denying that a white winter coat is a phenomenal statement piece and the most elegant winter wardrobe essential you will ever own. Cozy, simple, and
impeccably tailored minimal while coats are the rage this season. The great thing about a white coat is that it will practically go with any other piece of clothing you love. For casual functions, throw a white coat over colorful outfits and make a fashion statement. For the office, you can never go wrong with a white coat worn over the classic monochrome combinations.

*Faux Fur
From the runways to the racks, the faux fur craze is back again. Super chic and cozy, faux fur coats are the perfect alternative to real fur pieces. Many celebrity style icons Lee, Hyori, Joonho of 2pm as well as street fashionistas have made the faux fur coats their signature wardrobe pieces—and this season, there are so many variations of faux fur coats to choose from. Au faux fur coats in neutrals—such as creams, blacks and greys—are your obvious go-to choices but then there’s also something so fun about playing with bold colors and prints. Opt for faux fur outerwear in strawberry pinks, lime greens, baby blues, and lavenders and also play with faux fur animal print coats and instantly reinvent your cold weather wardrobe.

*Capes
Lastly, capes—an extremely versatile and super chic alternative to coats—are one of the biggest trends for Fall/Winter 2016. As seen on the runways, a well-cut, warm cape is definitely a must-have this season. Choose from a variety of designs including simple black or camel capes to leather trim cashmere capes and casual blanket style capes. For an evening out, throw on a black wool cape decorated with gold buttons over your favorite LBD (little black dress) teamed with a pair of ankle boots and a tote bag—and you’ll look super cute!
