North Korea launched an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM) toward the East Sea on Wednesday morning.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff(JCS) said the North fired the projectile from around Pyongyang at about 10 a.m.

The ballistic missile was fired at a high angle and flew for some one-thousand kilometers before falling into the East Sea.
