Yonsei University, which is embroiled in controversy over a leak that called into question the validity of its early admissions exam for 2025, has decided to hold an additional exam next month.

The university said in a statement Wednesday that the additional exam will take place December 8.

It also issued an apology to the applicants and parents who have been waiting for a decision.

Last month, when the university conducted its early admissions entrance exam, questions for the natural science track were leaked after the proctor accidentally distributed the exam papers an hour before the scheduled time.

Yonsei University says all applicants who took the natural science exam will be eligible to take the additional exam next month.

However, the university says the 261 students selected on the basis of the disputed exam results will be announced as planned on December 13.
