The latest poll shows that President Yoon Suk Yeol’s approval rating has hit a record low of 16 percent.

According to a Gallup Korea survey of one-thousand-one adults nationwide from Tuesday to Thursday, 16 percent of respondents said they liked the way Yoon handled state affairs, down three percentage points on-week.

It marks the lowest figure since the launch of the Yoon administration in May 2022.

Dissatisfaction with his performance reached a record high of 75 percent, up three percentage points from last week.

Yoon’s approval rating, however, plunged to 13 percent and his disapproval rating jumped to 80 percent in the poll results for Wednesday and Thursday, after Yoon declared martial law.

The survey had a confidence level of 95 percent, with a margin of error of plus or minus three-point-one percentage points.
