Main opposition Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung has proposed an official meeting with ruling People Power Party Chairman Han Dong-hoon.

Lee told reporters on Friday that he has requested a meeting multiple times through his chief of staff, but has yet to receive a response.

The opposition party chair said at this historic moment, the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties must put the people and the country first and discuss how to truly fulfill their responsibilities.

Lee again called on Han to make time to meet with him to discuss the situation.
