The average prices of gasoline and diesel both increased for the eighth consecutive week.

According to the Korea National Oil Corporation’s price information system, Opinet, Saturday, the average price of gasoline rose three-point-six won per liter on-week in the first week of December, to one-thousand-641-point-nine won per liter.

The average price of diesel climbed six-point-five won to one-thousand-482-point-three won per liter.

International oil prices saw a slight decline this week due to concerns over a slowdown in oil demand amid poor economic indicators from major economies.

As changes in international oil prices are typically reflected in domestic gas station prices with a two- to three-week delay, gasoline prices are expected to continue rising next week, while the increase in diesel prices is likely to slow down.
