Main opposition Democratic Party(DP) Chairman Lee Jae-myung has vowed to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol by all means after the National Assembly failed to pass Yoon’s impeachment motion on Saturday.

The DP chair made the pledge immediately after the motion was scrapped when attendance fell short of the quorum of two-thirds of the 300-member Assembly.

Lee said that his party will not give up and normalize the country by the end of the year. 

On the other hand, the ruling People Power Party(PPP) said that it will draw up measures to stabilize the situation and minimize confusion in state affairs, saying that the nation cannot repeat the tragedy of a presidential impeachment.

Offering an apology to the people over Yoon’s martial law declaration, the ruling party said that there will be an investigation and legal actions regarding the declaration.
