The police have placed travel bans on former Interior Minister Lee Sang-min and other people who have come under investigation in connection with President Yoon Suk Yeol’s martial law order last week.

Woo Jong-soo, the head of a police special investigation team, said Monday in a press briefing that a travel ban was imposed on Lee at 5:20 p.m. Sunday.

As of Monday, travel bans are also in effect for former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, Defense Counterintelligence Commander Yeo In-hyung and Army Chief of Staff Park An-su.

Park served as Yoon’s martial law commander.

As for a possible travel ban on Yoon, Woo said the police need to secure the necessary materials first.
