The prosecution, one of state agencies probing the December 3 martial law incident, plans to expand the size of its special investigation team.

According to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office on Wednesday, five prosecutors and ten investigators will be additionally dispatched to the team starting Thursday.

The team of prosecutors, investigators along with military prosecutors and investigators will be expanded to 78 people, including 25 prosecutors.

The top prosecutors' office said it is also in the process of taking some 30 more personnel to participate in forensic analysis of seized evidence.

The special team, led by Park Se-hyun, head of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, was formed last Friday.
