The prosecution has raided the Capital Defense Command in its ongoing investigation of last week’s martial law incident.

The prosecution’s special investigation headquarters said Thursday that it executed a search warrant in the morning, targeting the command’s office in Seoul as well as the home and office of Lt. Gen. Lee Jin-woo, its former commander, in addition to other locations.

The Capital Defense Command was deployed to the National Assembly on December 3 when the country was under martial law.

The latest raid, conducted jointly with the military prosecution, followed searches of the Defense Counterintelligence Command and the Army Special Warfare Command.

Lt. Gen. Lee and the Capital Defense Command’s military police commander, Kim Chang-ha, are banned from leaving the country.
