The prosecution says President Yoon Suk Yeol did not comply with its summons.

The prosecution’s special team probing Yoon’s botched martial law attempt said on Sunday that it had sent a summons to Yoon last Wednesday, asking him to appear at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office for questioning at 10 a.m. Sunday, but Yoon did not show up.

Yoon’s side reportedly told prosecutors that Yoon could not appear for questioning because he had not yet hired legal representatives.

The prosecution plans to send a second summons to Yoon on Monday.

The prosecution is expected to seek an arrest warrant if Yoon continues to defy their summons without a valid reason.
