The Constitutional Court has asked President Yoon Suk Yeol to present written answers regarding his impeachment case by next week. 

Kim Hyung-du, one of the court’s six justices, told reporters on Tuesday that a notice was sent to Yoon on Monday morning informing him of the court’s receipt of the National Assembly’s impeachment resolution against him. 

Kim added that the notice contains a request for the submission of written answers.

Yoon must submit the answers within seven days of the receipt of the notice.

If Yoon received the notice on Monday, he will have to present the written answers by next Monday.

Once Yoon’s answers arrive, the court will review his arguments and those of the parliament.
