The Constitutional Court has ordered President Yoon Suk Yeol to submit his emergency martial law decree by December 24 along with the minutes from the Cabinet meeting held right before it was issued.

Court spokesperson Lee Jin said during a briefing Wednesday that Justices Lee Mi-son and Cheong Hyung-sik issued the order earlier in the day.

Yoon has also been ordered to submit his defense plans and a list of evidence.

The chairman of the National Assembly’s Legislation and Judiciary Committee, Jung Chung-rae, was also ordered to submit a plan and a list of evidence supporting Yoon’s impeachment.

The Cabinet meeting in question is believed to have taken place from 10:17 p.m. to 10:22 p.m. on December 3, but acting Minister of the Interior and Safety Ko Ki-dong said last week that there are no minutes.
