The justices of the Constitutional Court are set to hold their first meeting Thursday morning after receiving President Yoon Suk Yeol’s impeachment case from the National Assembly.

The Council of Justices is attended by all justices to discuss key issues in dispute in pending cases.

The council meeting is held regularly and is not open to the public, in principle.

At the first meeting, the justices are likely to discuss the difficulties the court has experienced in delivering documents to Yoon.

The court has sent legal documents to Yoon by mail and in person since Monday, but it has not received confirmation that Yoon received them.

The court is reportedly considering whether to treat the documents as “deemed to have been delivered,” meaning the delivery would be deemed complete at the time the documents are dispatched through the post office.
