Rival parties clashed on Thursday over acting President Han Duck-soo’s decision to send six contentious bills back to the parliament for reconsideration.

During a strategy meeting at the National Assembly, ruling People Power Party(PPP) floor leader and acting party chief Kweon Seong-dong said the bills were among the failures of main opposition Democratic Party(DP) leader Lee Jae-myung, stressing that the DP unilaterally pushed the bills through the National Assembly.

The main opposition party mentioned the possibility of introducing a motion to impeach Han, and in response Kweon slammed the DP for making threats.

Meanwhile, DP floor leader Park Chan-dae criticized Han’s decision during a party policy coordination meeting at the National Assembly, accusing Han of following the wishes of President Yoon Suk Yeol and saying the four agricultural bills he rejected would help farmers.
