The police probing President Yoon Suk Yeol’s botched martial law attempt are analyzing Yoon’s personal cell phone records.

According to the police on Monday, its special probe team recently obtained a court warrant for the records through the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials(CIO), which is participating in the joint investigation of the martial law case along with the police and the prosecution.

The police are looking into the phone calls Yoon had with people related to his martial law imposition.

The joint probe team is reportedly also considering seizing a secure cell phone Yoon had used around the time of his martial law declaration as well as its phone records.

Last Tuesday, the joint team attempted to seize the records of a secure phone used by former police chief Cho Ji-ho from the office of the Presidential Security Service, but the attempt was foiled by security officials.
