Opposition party lawmakers on the National Assembly's Special Committee on Personnel Hearings have unilaterally adopted confirmation hearing reports for Constitutional Court justice nominees Ma Eun-hyeok, Jung Gye-seon, and Cho Han-chang.

The parliamentary committee adopted the reports on Tuesday following two days of confirmation hearings for the three nominees.

Ma and Jung's candidacies were recommended by the main opposition Democratic Party(DP), while Cho was chosen by the ruling People Power Party(PPP).

The PPP boycotted the hearings, claiming that Acting President Han Duck-soo holds no right to appoint Constitutional Court justice nominees recommended by the Assembly.

The DP is expected to put the motions regarding the appointments to a vote at a plenary session on Thursday.
