The Constitutional Court is scheduled to hold the first pretrial conference for the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol on Friday. 

Legal sources confirmed on Thursday that the pretrial session will take place at 2 p.m.

During the session, representatives from the impeachment committee and President Yoon's legal team will present the key issues in dispute and disclose their plans for proceeding with the trial. 

Yoon is not required to attend the session, which typically lasts for about an hour. 

Yoon’s impeachment trial is expected to formally begin after two to three pretrial conferences.
