Gov’t Activates Accident Management Headquarters after Muan Plane Crash

The government has activated the central accident management headquarters after many casualties were reported in an airplane crash at Muan International Airport on Sunday morning.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a press release that a Jeju Air passenger jet returning from Bangkok crashed while landing at the airport at 9:03 a.m.

The ill-fated plane was carrying 175 passengers, including two Thai nationals and six flight attendants.

The ministry said that it is trying to figure out the exact number of casualties.

The ministry added that an investigator is looking into the exact cause of the crash after arriving at the site at 10:10 a.m.
