Acting President Choi Sang-mok says the government will transparently disclose the progress of its investigation into Sunday’s deadly plane crash to the bereaved families. 

The acting president made the remarks Monday while presiding over a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters. 

Choi said the land and transport ministry will lead the operation of an integrated support center to provide quick explanations whenever the victims’ families have questions. 
 
The acting president ordered related state organizations to actively cooperate to provide support for the bereaved families and the treatment of the injured. 

Choi also instructed the transport ministry and the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the crash, ordering the ministry to conduct a safety inspection on the nation’s aircraft operational system to prevent any recurrence.
