Rallies for and against President Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment are taking place in various locations in Seoul on Sunday ahead of the Constitutional Court's impeachment ruling.

A group of activists advocating for Yoon's immediate ouster and emergency social reform held a news conference at 2 p.m. in the Gwanghwamun area, announcing a second round of "emergency action."

The group plans to hold a large rally at 4 p.m., followed by a street march.

The main opposition Democratic Party held a rally at 1 p.m. in front of the National Assembly and marched to the Gwanghwamun area to join the activists' rally.

Sarang Jeil Church, led by conservative activist pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, held an outdoor Sunday service at 11 a.m. in the Gwanghwamun area, calling for Yoon's reinstatement.

The conservative Liberty Unification Party and the conservative civic group Angry Blue also organized similar rallies on Sunday afternoon.
