NBS Survey: DP Presidential Candidate Lee Leads PPP’s Kim 46% to 32%

Former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung remains the front-runner in South Korea’s presidential race with a 46 percent approval rating, a poll showed Thursday, while the People Power Party’s Kim Moon-soo is in second place with 32 percent.

According to the National Barometer Survey(NBS), minor Reform Party candidate Lee Jun-seok trails in third place with 10 percent.

The survey of one-thousand-two people, conducted by Embrain Public, Kstat Research, Korea Research and Hankook Research from Monday to Wednesday, also found that 55 percent of voters believe the government should be replaced in next month’s presidential election.

Meanwhile, 34 percent said the government should be rebuilt.

The NBS survey had a confidence level of 95 percent, with a margin of error of plus or minus three-point-one percentage points.
