Former first lady Kim Keon-hee has appeared for a court hearing that will determine whether to detain her as she undergoes investigation on a string of corruption and financial crime allegations.

Kim arrived at the Seoul Central District Court in central Seoul at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday for the 10:10 a.m. detention warrant hearing.

Kim entered the building without responding to reporters’ questions about the allegations against her.

The results of the court’s review are expected to come in Tuesday night or in the early hours of Wednesday.

Special counsel Min Joong-ki’s team requested the warrant on Thursday last week, after questioning Kim over allegations that she played a role in a stock price manipulation scheme, meddled in election nominations, and accepted bribes in exchange for business favors.
