The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose nine-point-91 points, or zero-point-30 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at three-thousand-286-point-10, a new record high.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, however, losing three-point-84 points, or zero-point-38 percent, to close at one-thousand-12-point-62.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-134-point-nine won.
