The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) went up 33-point-97 points, or one-point-28 percent on Wednesday to close at two-thousand-690-point-14.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ inched down zero-point-46 points, or zero-point-05 percent, to close at 891-point-45.
 
On the foreign exchange, the local currency remained unchanged against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-339-point-eight won.
