The eastern coastal areas of Gangwon Province and the nation’s southern regions are set to continuously see high levels of fine dust on Thursday. 

The National Institute of Environmental Research said Wednesday that fine dust levels are forecast to be “very bad” in Busan, Ulsan and South Gyeongsang Province on Thursday. 

The institute projected such levels will stand at “bad” in Gangwon Province, Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong Province, Gwangju, South Jeolla Province, Daegu, North Gyeongsang Province and Jeju. 

The Seoul metro area and South Chungcheong Province are expected to see fine dust levels stand at “bad” at one time during the morning. 

Morning lows on Thursday will stand between seven and 13 degrees Celsius while afternoon highs are forecast to reach between 18 and 27 degrees.
