TBS Launches English Radio Next Month

The Traffic Broadcasting System (TBS) in Seoul is launching an English radio network on December first.

The station titled 'tbs eFM' will air news and culture, current affairs and entertainment programs from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day.

People in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province can pick up the signal by turning their dials to 101.3.

TBS, a Seoul City project, plans to develop eFM as an English radio channel for foreign residents and visitors, and also Koreans wanting to practice their English.

Programs include: 'Soul of Asia,' which introduces information about life in metropolitan Seoul and will air Monday through Saturday at 11 a.m. the music show 'K-Popular,' from 12 to 2 p.m. Monday through Sunday and the news programs 'This morning,' from 7 to 9 a.m. weekdays, and the 'Evening Show,' weekdays from 6:10 to 8 p.m.
