New COVID-19 Cases at 14,664

New COVID-19 cases registered in the 14-thousands on Thursday amid a slowdown in the latest wave of infections.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said that 14-thousand-664 infections were reported throughout Wednesday, including 13 cases from overseas, bringing the country's cumulative caseload to nearly 30-million-312-thousand.

The daily figure is down by over three-thousand from the previous day and some two-thousand from a week ago.

For a Thursday tally, it marks the lowest in 32 weeks since June 30 of last year.

The number of seriously or critically ill patients rose by ten from a day earlier to 293, staying below 300 for a fourth day.

Wednesday added 34 deaths, raising the death toll to 33-thousand-680. The fatality rate is unchanged at zero-point-11 percent.
