New daily COVID-19 cases registered in the eleven-thousands on Thursday.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said that eleven-thousand-39 infections were reported throughout Wednesday, including 14 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 30-million-809-thousand.

The tally dropped by over two-thousand from a day ago and 358 from a week ago. Compared to two weeks ago, it rose by over one-thousand, but did not surge despite the lifting of the mask mandate for public transportation last Monday.

The number of hospitalized patients in intensive care is down by seven from a day ago to 143.

Wednesday added ten deaths to raise the death toll to 34-thousand-255. The overall fatality rate remains at zero-point-11 percent.
