New daily COVID-19 cases registered in the 12-thousands on Thursday.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said that 12-thousand-84 infections were reported throughout Wednesday, including 12 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 30 million-883-thousand.

The figure dropped by about two-thousand from a day ago, but rose by over one-thousand from a week ago and about 700 from weeks ago, indicating a slight increase in infections lately.

The number of critically ill patients in the hospital rose by ten from the previous day to 136.

Wednesday added 13 deaths raising the death toll to 34-thousand-309. The overall fatality rate stands at zero-point-11 percent.
