The nation added nearly five-thousand new COVID-19 cases as the pandemic situation remains somewhat steady.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters said on Monday that four-thousand-946 infections were reported throughout Sunday, including 23 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 30 million-994-thousand.

The latest daily tally declined by five-thousand-242 from a day earlier mostly due to fewer tests administered on Sunday but rose by 941 from a week earlier, and was up by 598 from a fortnight ago.

The daily average for the past seven-day period stood at ten-thousand-918.

The number of critically ill patients in the hospital increased by eight from the previous day to 130.

Four more deaths were reported, raising the death toll to 34-thousand-376. The overall fatality rate stands at zero-point-11 percent.
