The nation added about 14-thousand new COVID-19 cases as the on-week rise continues.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters said on Thursday that 14-thousand-94 infections were reported throughout Wednesday, including 22 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to nearly 31 million-40-thousand.

The daily tally dropped by some 24-hundred from a day earlier, but rose by about 25-hundred from a week earlier, and about two-thousand from a fortnight ago.

The latest figure marks the largest in ten weeks for a Thursday.

The number of critically ill patients in the hospital rose by one from the previous day to 136.

Wednesday added nine deaths to raise the death toll to 34-thousand-401. The overall fatality rate stands at zero-point-11 percent.
