Daily COVID-19 Cases at 8,164

New daily COVID-19 cases registered in the eight-thousands on Monday.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters said that eight-thousand-164 infections were reported throughout Sunday, including 33 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 31 million-285-thousand.

The figure is up by two-thousand-390 from a week ago and three-thousand-142 more from two weeks ago. The daily cases on Saturday and Sunday, also announced on Monday, stood at eleven-thousand-801 and 14-thousand-742, respectively.  

The daily average for the past week was tallied at 15-thousand-648.

The number of hospitalized patients for intensive care increased by four from a day ago to 137.

The death toll climbed by seven to stand at 34-thousand-534, with the overall fatality rate remaining at zero-point-11 percent.
