New COVID-19 Cases at 21,797

The nation added more than 20-thousand new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters said on Thursday that 21-thousand-797 infections were reported throughout Wednesday, including 30 from overseas, bringing the total cumulative caseload to just under 31 million-487-thousand.

The figure dropped by some 43-hundred from a day ago, but rose by about 12-hundred from a week ago and by some 16-hundred from two weeks ago.

The number of hospitalized patients in intensive care dropped by eleven from a day ago to 136.

The death toll rose by 18 to 34-thousand-652, with the overall fatality rate remaining at zero-point-11 percent.
