New COVID-19 Cases at 6,798

New daily COVID-19 cases registered in the six-thousands on Monday.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters said that six-thousand-798 infections were reported throughout Sunday, including 22 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 31 million-548-thousand.

The figure is down by 376 from a week ago and declined by one-thousand-357 from two weeks ago.

Sunday’s tally, also announced on Monday, came to stand at 16-thousand-808, down by 577 from a week earlier.

The daily average for the past week was tallied at 18-thousand-985.

The number of hospitalized patients in intensive care edged up by one from a day ago to 159.

The death toll climbed by 12 to stand at 34-thousand-687, with the overall fatality rate remaining at zero-point-11 percent.
