New COVID-19 Cases at 19,080

The nation added nearly 20-thousand new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters said Thursday that 19-thousand-80 infections were reported throughout Wednesday, including 24 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 31 million-611-thousand.

The figure dropped by some 38-hundred from a day ago. It also decreased by about 27-hundred from a week ago and by about 15-hundred from two weeks ago. The tally posted an on-week decline for the seventh consecutive day.

The daily average for the past week was tallied at 17-thousand-818.

The number of hospitalized patients in intensive care rose by six from a day ago to 173.

The death toll climbed by 17 to stand at 34-thousand-736, with the overall fatality rate remaining at zero-point-11 percent.
