I had been thinking about this for a while, but after a mention of buying all your previous physical albums last week, I really wanted to ask about it as an artist who is releasing new songs yourself.

From a business angle do you have a preference on how we get your new music? Buying downloads from giant online sellers, or repeated streams? I am still used to merch table purchases at the show to create direct revenue for indie bands and don’t understand the stream charting or online sales algebra.

After years of watching compact discs decline, I find myself enjoying the full packaging of KPop albums with art, photos, and random inclusions to trade biases. But I also know printing all of that is simply not feasible unless it’s a big company pushing a major release and pure digital always seems easiest.
