South Korea's Ki Sung-yeung led Sunderland to victory on Thursday against Everton by scoring the only goal of the match.
 
Ki netted a penalty kick in the 25th minute of the 1-0 shutout at Goodison Park. It was Ki's first Premier League goal.
 
Meanwhile, another South Korean soccer player in the Premier League, Kim Bo-kyung of Cardiff, got some playing time in the second half of a match against Southampton. Cardiff lost to Southampton three-to-zero.
