Ji So-yun Signs with English Club Chelsea Ladies

South Korean star soccer player Ji So-yun has joined female football team Chelsea Ladies in England.

President Yun Gi-yeong of her management agency Inspokorea says Ji signed a two-year deal and Chelsea's official announcement will follow.

The terms of her contract have not been disclosed but it's expected she will be the highest paid player in Chelsea Ladies' history.

Ji came to the spotlight as she led South Korea to finish third in the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in 2010. The 22-year-old has played in 55 A-matches and scored 26 goals.

In 2011, she joined Japan's INAC Kobe Leonessa. Over the past three years, she played in 48 matches and scored 21 goals.
