Kim Yu-na Wins Korean Nationals

Figure skater Kim yu-na defended her title at home on Sunday with a landslide victory at the Korean nationals.

The reigning Olympic gold medalist scored a combined 227-point-86 points, just shy of the world record she set at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010.

Sunday’s victory at the KB Financial Group Korea Championships was Kim’s last competition before the Sochi Winter Olympics next month in Russia.

Seventeen-year-olds Park So-youn and Kim Hae-jin, who will compete in Sochi alongside Kim Yu-na, finished second and third, respectively.
