South Korea will aim to rank seventh in the overall medal tally of the Sochi Winter Olympics that will open next month.

Between February seventh and 24th, athletes from 85 countries will compete for 98 gold medals in 15 events.

At the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, South Korea ranked fifth with six gold, six silver and two bronze medals. It was South Korea’s best performance in the winter Olympic games.

Attention is being drawn to whether figure skater, Kim Yu-na as well as speed skaters Lee Sang-hwa and Sim Suk-hee will win gold medals.

South Korean athletes are exerting all-out efforts in last-minute training with the Olympics a month away.
