Kim Yu-na Expresses Confidence Ahead of Sochi Olympics

Figure skater Kim Yu-na says she is confident of her condition ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympics next month.

Kim, who is eying her second gold medal in the Winter Games, attended a news conference Wednesday at the National Training Center in Seoul.

Kim said she has grown more accustomed to her program after competing in two events. She said although many people talk about the possibility of her winning a second straight gold medal, she is just focusing on training and will accept the results without regret. Kim plans to retire after the Sochi Winter Games.

The South Korean skater injured her foot last September, but she returned to competition in December. She won a minor event in Croatia last month and defended her title at South Korean nationals in early January with a score of 227-point-86 points, just shy of the world record she set at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
