South Korea has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Asian Football Confederation's Under-22 Championships.
 
Second half goals from Kim Kyung-jung and Yun Il-lok led the Koreans to a 2-0 victory over host country Oman in Group A play.
 
Korea advanced to the round of eight with two wins and a tie. It ranks second in Group A behind Jordan, which leads in goal difference. 
 
In the quarterfinals Sunday, Korea will face Group B leader Syria.
