K-pop Hologram Concert Hall Opens in Seoul

The government and Korea Telecom (KT) have opened a K-pop hologram concert hall in Seoul.

The hall includes a 16-hundred-50 square-meter concert space and various digital attractions such as an augmented reality elevator. The concert hall will hold hologram concerts eight times a day featuring K-pop stars such as PSY, Big Bang and 2NE1.

The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning says it will continue to support the development and export of hologram contents to spread the Korean pop culture around the world and attract foreign tourists. KT is currently planning to open similar hologram facilities in Jeju Island and in downtown Seoul.
