Gov't Holds Meeting to Discuss N. Korea's Proposals

The presidential office held an emergency security policy coordination meeting on Thursday night and discussed North Korea’s proposals on easing cross-border tension.
 
The meeting was chaired by chief presidential national security adviser Kim Jang-soo and attended by key Cabinet members, including the unification and defense ministers.
 
The chief security adviser briefed President Park Geun-hye on the results of the meeting as she is on a state visit to India.
 
The government is also expected to brief the media on the results on Friday at a related ministry.
