S. Korea's Sochi Olympic Teams Holds Inaugural Ceremony

South Korean athletes have vowed to perform well next month at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) held an inaugural ceremony on Thursday for South Korean athletes at the National Training Center in Seoul.

The 113-member Korean squad – 64 athletes and 49 officials – will be the country’s largest-ever delegation for a winter Olympics.

South Korean athletes will compete in skiing, figure and speed skating, biathlon, bobsled, curling, and luge.

South Korea aims to win more than four gold medals and finish among the top ten in the medal standings for the third time in the Winter Games.

The games begin on February 7th.
