South Korea has failed to advance to the finals of the Asian Football Confederation's Under-22 Championships.
 
The South Korean team, led by coach Lee Kwang-jong, lost to Iraq 1-0 during the match held in Muscat, Oman on Thursday, Korea time. The only goal of the game came at the 29th minute in the second half.
 
Last year, South Korea was defeated by Iraq 5-4 and failed to advance into the quarterfinals of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup held in Turkey.
